Leo Tolstoy is a Russian writer who is best known for his works “War And Peace” and “Anna Karenina”.
Tolstoy was born in 1828 to wealthy family but after his parents died he seemed to lose his way and ran up heavy gambling debts. He then joined the army and it was about this time he started to write.
